THE JOB:

We have just launched a number of mobile apps in several categories for the Android and iPhone platforms.
They are doing so well, that we're going to publish thousands more over the coming months. But every app needs an icon!
The icon is one of the single most important parts of a mobile app. It's the first thing the customer sees and what makes them decide whether or not to click through to read the full description.
a "GREAT" icon should:
- convey what the app does
- reflect how refined and professional the app is
- be fun and friendly
- identify free apps from paid/pro apps
- identify that the app is one of ours
- convey the romance and whimsy of the early 20th century neo-classical period without pandering to the stereotypical art deco themes of that period.
...all in less than 57 pixels!
We will provide you with an Icon template, and a list of themes / topics that we need to build the icons around.
There are going to be dozens of them, so expect this project to go on for quite some time.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

In order to be considered for this project you **MUST** meet **ALL** of the below requirements:
1) You must have past experience making icons for ACTUAL PUBLISHED mobile apps. The way you will prove this is, by attaching the file of TWO sample icons to your cover letter, and including links to those apps in the Android market.

THE DETAILS:

Once you apply and show that you meet all the requirements, we will send you the Icon template and a list of icon themes to be created. (eg: a Soccer Icon, a bicycle icon, a restaurant icon)
You should be able to do each icon in less than an hour.

OK, so you are interested in doing this project? Here’s what you need to do...
Send us a quick message with:
1) An attachment with TWO icons you have designed in the past for mobile apps.
2) The URL link to those SAME two apps in the Android market.
3) Include in your message the sentence “Pink Elephants ride Yellow bicycles” - just to show you read all of this and can follow detailed instructions!
You would be amazed how many applications we get that don't follow these 3 easy steps. We delete every one of them. Sorry, but if you can't follow three simple instructions, it doesn't bode well for how you will do on a bigger project. Any applications we receive that don’t have ALL three of the above will be ignored and/or laughed at.
